Teachers

Jennifer Manuell

Jennifer teaches ballet at Harlesden and Ealing. Brought up in Cornwall, Jen left at 16 to train at Elmhurst School for Dance. Graduating with a National Diploma in Professional Dance, she then went on to gain a Creative Writing Diploma and a First Class Honours degree in Professional Practice, specialising in Dance Education. In addition to freelance dance teaching, she works as the Family Activities Co-ordinator at a large private gym in Kensington.

Kayleigh Lovell
Kayleigh teaches tap at Old Oak and Harlesden. She began dancing at the age of three with ballet and by the age of seven, she was learning tap and modern as well. Kayleigh joined Margaret’s Dance academy as a pupil in 1995 where she remained until leaving for university in the midlands. On completing her degree, she returned to the academy as an Assistant Dance Teacher. She continues to teach tap whilst completing  a masters degree.

Deborah Nugent
Deborah teaches Modern, Jazz and Hip Hop at Harlesden.
Deborah began dancing at the age of four, training primarily in ballet, Irish-dancing and hip-hop and competing and performing in all three disciplines. She frequently appeared in the All-Ireland dancing final.

At twelve she successfully auditioned for The Billie Barry Stage School, Dublin’s most prestigious stage school. Her training at the school consisted of intensive tap and jazz training and also perfecting performance techniques. With the school, Deborah was involved in many stage productions in some of Ireland's most well known performance venues such as The Olympia Theatre and the Gaiety Theatre.

After leaving school aged eighteen Deborah began her full time training with a Dublin dance college, taking vocational dance examinations with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and representing the college at certain shows and events.

Outside of Dance College Deborah attended hip-hop classes where she was taught by choreographers who have choreographed pieces for many well-known performers such as Britney Spears, Beyonce and the Pussycat Dolls. This extra training lead her to take part in competitions and to showcases such as “Dance Masters”.

In the summer of 2009 Deborah, along with eleven other dancers, was chosen by the European Union to attend a dance festival taking place in Vienna, Austria. Deborah and her fellow students were taught over a three week period by a long list of celebrated and well-known choreographers from all across the globe in many varied styles of dance.

After some teaching jazz, tap and hip-hop in Ireland Deborah moved to London to further her skills and to finish her jazz teaching examinations with the ISTD.
Deborah is delighted to be teaching with the Margaret Dance Academy at Roundwood Stage School.
