The Tap classes are based on the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance syllabus.

Tap exams can be taken from the age of five years. We tend to do our own Margaret Dance Academy tests at this stage, as it's a more gentle introduction to taking exams, especially for the younger children who are still gaining confidence.

In the beginner's tap, the children learn basic tap steps and rhythms, again with the emphasis on enjoyment.

There is a grade system, going from Primary to Advanced 2. The children move on to the next grade either having reached the required standard to be able to cope with the next level or by taking the official grade exams, which we like them to do from Grade 1 upwards at our branch in Ealing.

We teach adult tap classes at our Ealing branch every Monday from 2:30-3:30pm and at the Old Oak branch on Thursdays from 7:00-7:50pm.

We teach tap to children at Ealing, Old Oak and Harlesden.
