The Modern classes are based on the Imperial Society of Dancing Modern Theatre (I.S.T.D.) syllabus and take place at our Harlesden branch. The Jazz Medals can be taken by pupild who have reached a minimum of Grade 4 Modern standard.

At present our grades start at Grade 3 (approximately 10 years old) - the younger children from the age of five seem to enjoy the hip hop instead (of doing Grades 1 and 2?).

The pupils in the Modern classes learn the syllabus and free dances in the form of hip hop, modern jazz, pop and lyrical. The exams are taken with the I.S.T.D. at our Ealing Branch.
