Margaret Dance Academy, London

Margaret Dance Academy is a dance school that has been established for 35 years in the London area.

We cover all aspects of dance tuition, teaching young boys and girls ballet, modern theatre, drama, musical theatre, jazz, street dance and tap dancing.

We specialise in children's tuition and take pupils from the age of 2 and a half upwards.

We also have a special needs class in creative movement in our Ealing Branch.

Margaret Dance Academy enters children for Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Tap and Modern Exams, Royal Academy of Dance Ballet, exams and LAMDA and Guildhall Drama Exams.

Our aims are to:

Provide young people with a creative, physical outlet
Encourage teamwork, a sense of achievment and enjoyment
Put pupils' welfare, safety and growth, first.

Exams

The opportunity is there for all to take exams, but these are not mandatory and any child who finds exams distressing is welcome to study dance and drama purely for enjoyment and will be moved up in accordance with their personal growth.

Shows

Every child in the Academy may participate in our shows. These give parents an opportunity to see how the class has progressed, are a lot of fun and a great confidence booster for all who participate!

We have successful results in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Drama with a 100% pass rate, however our main priority is to give enjoyment, a sense of achievement and for every child to develop their potential.

Examination Procedure

Your child's progress will be assessed by our qualified teachers. When they feel that your child has achieved the level required, you will be advised that they are about to be entered for an exam. Extra classes are run in preparation for examinations. Your child will be required to attend these coaching sessions in addition to normal lessons. A separate fee will be charged for these.

Enrolment

If your child would like to try out some classes when joining us, you will be charged for two lessons in the chosen subject.

There is no charge for enrolling .You will be asked to complete an enrolment form (downloadable below) on behalf of your child. At the bottom of the form your signature is required. This is an agreement signed by you to the fact that you will give half a term's notice before your child leaves. This will become effective following the two week trial. If notice is not given, you will be charged half a term's fees.

Enrolment is free of charge.
We offer discounts for sisters and brothers.
We offer discounts for children doing three or more activities.
You will be charged for two trial lessons, then you will be charged according to the number of weeks left in a term.

Fees paid are non-refundable for classes missed unless the child is hospitalised.
Fees are also non-refundable if your child leaves.
